Fill out the MSME form, select "No" when asked about existing CAC registration, and submit. SMEDAN will provide your SMEDAN Unique Identification Number (SUIN) and guide you on finalizing the free CAC Business Name Registration.

Before starting the registration process, make sure you have the following information and documents ready:
- Your National Identification Number (NIN) (for identity verification)
- Your Active Email Address and a Phone Number
- Your proposed Business Name
- Your Business Address and a detailed description of what your business does
2. Step-by-Step Guide
Follow these steps to complete the process:
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Go to the official SMEDAN Portal.
- Provide your First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and choose a Password.
- Click Register to create your account.
- Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox.
Step 2: Fill Out Business Details
- Log in to your dashboard and select Start Registration.
- Input details like your business name, phone number, and the year your business started.
- When asked: "Are you registered with CAC?", select No.
- Provide your Annual Turnover (Select "Nano Business" for turnovers under \₦3,000,000) and Employee Count.
Step 3: Add Owner Details and Verify Identity
- Enter your personal information, including your full name, home address, and gender.
- Input your NIN for identity verification. You may need to complete a quick facial scan in a well-lit area.
Step 4: Submit and Get Your SMEDAN Certificate
- Review all information to make sure it is accurate, then click Submit.
- You will be issued a SMEDAN Certificate containing your SMEDAN Unique Identification Number (SUIN).
- After you submit your application, eligible business names will be automatically enrolled in the free CAC–SMEDAN Scheme. The CAC will contact you with instructions or an approval notification.
